ABOUT
Clarissa Bañez is a Filipino oil painter based in Prague. Her work is grounded in representational painting, emphasizing tonal restraint, controlled light, and careful observation. Working with traditional, archival methods, she treats painting as a disciplined practice where gesture, structure, and material decision-making are carefully balanced. Her practice is motivated by the pursuit of mastery and the sustained development of skill over time.
